Endlich regnet es mal wieder! Das ist ernst gemeint und ich will damit auch niemand provozieren, der Hitze und Sommer nachtrauert. Nun ist es September und wir alle merken die Veränderungen am Tageslicht und anderen Anzeichen, auch wenn es heute hier im Südwesten nochmal richtig heiß und sonnig war. Aber mal ehrlich, was kann es gemütlicheres geben, als sich beim trommelnden Regen mit einem guten Buch und einem großen Kaffee mit einer Menge Milchschaum auf der Couch aufzuhalten? Soo schlimm ist der Herbst doch gar nicht. Und wer seine Heimat gern saftig und grün hat, muss Regen eben auf der Rechnung haben. Und endlich sehen die Moose wieder schön aus, nicht so unansehnlich graugrün und dunkel und ganz zusammengerollt vor lauter Trockenheit! Hier soll ein bisschen Frauenhaarmoss (Polytrichum) wieder Lust auf Waldspaziergänge im raschelnden Laub machen:
At last it's raining again. I mean this really seriously and I don't want to provoke people that regret times of summer and heat. But now September has come and all of us notice the changes in hours of daylight and other evidence. Nevertheless today it was really hot and sunny here in the southwest once again. But, honestly, is there something more comfortable and cozy than resting inside on the couch, with the drumming rain outside? Reading a good book, enjoying a large cup of coffee with lots of milk froth. Autumn isn't so bad, I think. And everybody who likes his country luscious and green, has to take the rain, too. And finally moss again looks so beautiful and lush, not so dowdy and of a dark gray green and completely convoluted because of all the dryness and heat. Here comes a little Polytrichum moss to whet your appetite for walks in the woods with rustling fall foliage again:
